No matter how good your content is, no matter how valuable your visitors find your content, if you only have a trickle of visitors, you blog income is going to be at best very small. Word is that there are over 100 million blogs on the Internet right now. If your blog covers a topic that lots of people are interested in, there are likely to be tens, even hundreds of competing blogs. So just getting visitors to your blog can be a challenge.
If you’ve got a lot of loyal readers, you’re almost there. One major step remains. Getting your blog to generate money (known as monetizing your blog) is the next big challenge. Lots of people reading your blog is important for making money, but just getting the visitors isn’t enough. You need a solid plan for how you’re going to make money if your blogging is going to pay off.
So as you can see, delivering value to your readers isn’t nearly enough. Two more things are necessary. One is getting visitors, lots of visitors to your blog. The other is getting them to spend money. You’ll need to master both of these if you really want to profit from your blogging.
