Bonds and Stock dividends are good types of passive income. Here’s a book on Amazon that I liked:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0470125…
I don’t think starting a business is passive. If you’re passionate about the product or service, it might be more rewarding than working for somebody else, but not passive.
Property is also in fact a lot of hard work too.

Rentals such as apartments or houses would be a nice start.
